PROJECT: Create a series of 7 posters to promote Steelcase Furniture’s Installation Classes.
GOAL: Promote installers to complete all of their courses in training in a timely manner.
CONCEPT: As they completed each class, they received a puzzle piece on their profile. At the bottom you’ll see that the color blocks are filled in as each class is completed. It creates a logo lockup for this internal program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Concept and designing the posters.
Client: Steelcase | Art Direction and Copy: Kevin Moss | Design and Concept: Caili Dalian
PROJECT: Create a 2 posters for a Steelcase Intern-hosted internal event. They are placed next to 2018 posters (left) to show how I evolved the banners to be simpler, more straight-forward, and easier to read (posters to right).
GOAL: Design posters to fall in line with previous year’s posters, while also upgrading the design.
CONCEPT: Explain how intuition helps speed along the process for execution. In this case, installers who have more intuition do less cognitive work when trying to figure out how to put together a piece of furniture, and can move into the manual work and actual execution the product.

Steelcase Furniture, based out of Grand Rapids Michigan, asked me to create a cartoon-themed infographic highlighting their installer’s training journey.
PROJECT: Create an infographic that was informational, yet eye-catching.
GOAL: Let installers know they have multiple ways of learning their products through multiple platforms. They can provide feedback and have the autonomy to take advantage of their careers through these multiple resources.
CONCEPT: Make a comic book with quirky, “childish” drawings to catch the eyes of the installers, to encourage the reading of this information.
After creating a few different versions, the client picked the “VOI JOURNEY” option because of its fun nature and eye-catching colors.
